Ward Law attorney Natasha Veenis attributes her love of learning and deep work ethic to her German father and Mexican mother. They instilled in her the belief that education is the key to success. Natasha was born in Garmisch, Germany, and grew up in Norman, Oklahoma. She graduated in 2019 from Oklahoma State University magna cum laude with her Bachelor of Science degree, majoring in political science and minoring in sociology. In May 2022, she graduated from the University of Kansas School of Law with her Juris Doctorate and a certificate in advocacy. During her time in law school, she was a member of Women in Law, and she participated in the Midwest Innocence Project, Public Interest Law Society, and Federal Bar Society.
Natasha prides herself on being a fierce advocate for her clients, providing an individualized approach to each case. She wants clients to know their cases will intentionally be treated according to their specific issues and circumstances, that they will be handled with compassion, and that she will focus on making their voices heard, whether in negotiations, mediation, or trial. Natasha dedicates herself to helping children navigate some of life’s toughest challenges and has volunteered as a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) and worked with the Guardianship Assistance Program in Wichita.
As the daughter of a military family, travel comes naturally to Natasha. She has a long list of places she has been and an even longer list of sites she wants to go. When she isn’t practicing law or volunteering, you can find Natasha playing monster trucks or construction with her nephews, spoiling her only niece, cuddling with her cockapoo, relaxing with her husband, or going for a run. Her current goal this year is to run a half marathon to raise money for the Oklahoma City Bombing Memorial Museum.
"I love Natasha’s enthusiasm for being a lawyer and genuine desire to learn. She cares deeply for her clients and works hard to serve their needs. We especially appreciate her patient endurance of our jokes about her being a (OSU) Cowpoke and the firm’s youngest lawyer."
- T. Lynn Ward, Founding Attorney
