Megan R. Storie | Associate Attorney

Megan R. Storie is a dedicated advocate who combines her legal expertise with a passion for client-centered service. Joining Ward Law LLC as an Associate Attorney, Megan brings experience in family law, criminal justice, and trial preparation to our team. She completed her Juris Doctor at Washburn University School of Law in 2022, where she was an active leader, serving as a Student Ambassador and a member of both the Texas Young Lawyers Association and the American Association for Justice Trial Teams. Megan also holds a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice, graduating summa cum laude, and a master’s degree in criminal justice from Washburn University. Her academic achievements reflect her dedication and commitment to justice, having been named to the President’s Honor Roll multiple times and recognized with several honors, including membership in Phi Kappa Phi and Mortar Board National College Senior Honor Society.

Her legal career is marked by experience across diverse settings. As a Rule 719 Clinic Intern with Kansas Legal Services, Megan handled cases in probate, family law, and elder care, advising clients on wills, deeds, and powers of attorney. Her previous roles included serving as an intern at both the Washburn Law Clinic and Paul Davis Law Firm, where she gained hands-on experience in non-profit formation, entity compliance, and complex contract issues. With this background, Megan brings a comprehensive understanding of legal processes and a strong commitment to helping clients navigate challenging situations with empathy and expertise.

Originally from Desoto, Missouri, Megan has Kansas roots, having moved to Hutchinson after high school to be closer to her extended family. Her unique heritage—Irish, Scottish, Mexican, and Iranian—shapes her inclusive approach to life and work. Family is central to her life, and she spends time each week supporting her father, who is blind. Megan is also a proud Delta Gamma member, a choice inspired by her father’s example.

Megan’s community involvement reflects her dedication to service beyond the courtroom. She is a member of the Junior League of Wichita, serves on the board of the Women’s Network, and volunteers with the Wichita Family Crisis Center, Big Brothers Big Sisters, and Habitat for Humanity. A passionate advocate for domestic violence awareness and juvenile recidivism prevention, Megan actively seeks ways to support vulnerable communities in Wichita and beyond.

Outside of her work and volunteer commitments, Megan is a photographer, avid reader, and talented musician. Her favorite quote is from Proverbs 31:25, “She is clothed in strength and dignity, and she laughs without fear of the future.” It perfectly encapsulates her spirit and dedication to the people she serves.
